Dr. Aleong is an experienced cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist. He loves connecting with patients to try to help with many different type of heart rhythm issues. From a heart rhythm standpoint, he is interested in all aspects of treating abnormal cardiac rhythms. He has a special interest in ablation and medical management to help patients with atrial fibrillation. From device management, he implants and follows patients with both pacemakers and defibrillators including biventricular devices. From a cardiology standpoint, Dr. Aleong is interested in helping patients who have chest discomfort and symptoms concerning for angina.
Dr. Aleong completed his undergraduate degree at Brown University in Rhode Island and majored in biology. He went to the University of Pittsburgh Medical School and then completed his medicine residency at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Dr. Aleong completed his cardiology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Aleong then went to Boston and completed his training in cardiac electrophysiology at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Aleong is an avid runner and enjoys spending time with his family.
