Cardiac Cath Lab Technician

Full Time – NO WEEKENDS, NO NIGHTS, NO CALL! ($45.00-$50.00 hourly)

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cath Lab Technician to join our Catheterization Lab team. As a tech in the Cath Lab, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures. Here is some of what you can expect from being a Cardiovascular Specialist – Cath Lab Technician with us:

• You will assume responsibility for the routine care and maintenance of radiological equipment, in addition, assumes responsibility for quality patient care, maintenance of required cath lab competencies and assistance in all aspects of invasive, or non-invasive cardiac procedures
• Your role will be able to explain all procedures to patients to help alleviate anxiety
• Your role will have the ability to handle emergency situations during high-risk procedures and you must be willing to provide discretion and confidentiality in word and action
• You will have the ability to interact with physicians during routine procedures, during emergencies and to assist with interpretation of and recording of data collected
• You will have the ability to work within a team environment with individuals having similar abilities and responsibilities, as well as you must be willing to assume “on call” assignments and return to facility within 30 minutes for emergency cases
• Strong knowledge of cardiac physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
• Proficient in performing cardiac catheterization procedures and diagnostic evaluations
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support at time of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support at time of employment start date
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT), or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
• Previous 1 year of Cath Lab experience preferred
